Indian River Lagoon System

The Indian River Lagoon System is located on
Florida's East Coast and stretches from north of
Daytona Beach all the way down south of Jupiter
Beach stretching over 156 miles. The Indian River
Lagoon System includes Mosquito Lagoon and the
Banana River and has five natural inlets allowing
water flow, although this flow is now controlled.
These inlets include;
- Ponce De Leon Inlet
- Sebastian Inlet
- Fort Pierce Inlet
- St Lucie Inlet
- Jupiter Inlet
The Indian River is the largest living estuary in
North America and is home to over 4,000 different
species including many endangered species. The
Indian River Lagoon System including Mosquito Lagoon
and the Banana River is world famous for fishing.
Some of the biggest Redfish can be caught here along
with Tarpon, Snook, Sea Trout and more.
Flats Fishing on the river is some of the most
exciting fishing you will ever experience. Weather
is a major factor on success. Located only one hour
away from Orlando makes this a prime location for
Fly Fishing or Flats Fishing in Central Florida.
