Port Canaveral

Port Canaveral is located on Florida's East Coast and is a favorite destination for fishermen heading out to deep sea fishing in the Atlantic Ocean. From Port Canaveral you can be catching Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi), Kings, Barracuda, Sailfish, tuna and more within minutes of leaving the dock.

Port Canaveral is only one hour from Orlando and is a great fishing destination. Many cruise lines port here. The Navy has a submarine base here, and Port Canaveral is one of the busiest sea ports in the United States.

Just to the North of Port Canaveral is Kennedy Space Center and the Canaveral National Seashore. If you go west of the port through the Barge Locks and Canal you can be fishing in the Indian River System. From Port Canaveral there are many fishing options from Deep Sea, Offshore and Near Shore fishing.

Weather and the Tides are important and should be monitored. Flexibility is the key to fishing here.
